The ‘Eastern Odyssey’ Collection

The Eastern Odyssey collections are inspired by several visits to South East Asia: Myanmar, Thailand and Laos. Amidst the exotic sites and experiences it is the ordinary details that excite me and have been formed into my wearable art pieces – A wooden knot from the famous U Bein bridge in Myanmar or the Stitch on a broom in Thailand.

The collections comprise of silver jewellery and sketchbooks. Each artwork is made directly from a surface moulded on location, this is later cast into silver by lost wax process to create a unique small sculpture that is the centrepiece of the jewellery. The jewellery comes with a copy of my Eastern Odyssey’s Silver Sketchbook, that shares the story and inspiration behind the collection.
